The OBRL Ailogs ARCA Series Sports Clips/VFW 200 night race at Southern National Motorsports Park started with Kevin Rupert capturing the pole and Kevin Pearson recording the fastest lap of the race. Justin Laird gained 19 spots to win the Hard Charger Award. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Kevin Pearson led 107 laps, going on take the win. This week the drivers displayed poor race-craft, resulting in 12 cautions with 9 lead changes, as there were 3 disqualifications with 4 disconnects in a 34 car field ending with Kevin Pearson capturing his 1st win of the season with Jason Swann finishing 2nd, Jeff Gilmore 3rd and Dwayne McArthur in 4th.
This week the OBRL Ailogs ARCA Series moves to the Pocono Green 200 race at Pocono Raceway with the current points leader Jason Swann looking for ways to maintain his lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:10 pm Eastern time.
