The Xfinity 40 Week Series Boyd Gaming 300 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway started with Estil Fields on the pole and setting the fastest lap of the race. John Hastings gained 23 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Charles Grant Jr. led the most laps with 77, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in no cautions with 12 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 3 disconnect in a 35 car field The race ended with Charles Grant Jr. capturing his 1st win of the season, Estil Fields taking 2nd, Steven Mattocks in 3rd and Matthew Siegl nabbing 4th.
This week the Xfinity Series moves to the DC Solar 200 race at Phoenix Int’l Raceway with the current points leader Kent “Big Time” Connolly looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
