The ARCA Dollar General 300 night race at Five Flags Speedway started with Jon Waters capturing the pole and recording the fastest lap of the race. Kim Quick gained 9 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Jon Waters led the most laps with 43, with Kim Quick surviving the caution fest, going on take get the win. This week the drivers displayed poor communication, resulting in 9 cautions with 13 lead changes as there was 1 disqualification with 2 disconnects in a 16 car field ending with Kim Quick capturing his 1st win of the season with Matthew Gibbs finishing 2nd, Dan DeNayer 3rd and Bruce Pearson in 4th
This week the ARCA Series moves to the US Cellular 250 night race at USA Int’l Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking for ways to maintain his lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:05 pm Eastern time. In the ARCA Series points championship Bruce Pearson in 2nd, Steven Thomson Driver of the Number 67 Ride TV Racing Camry 3rd, Jeffrey Merck 4th and Jon Waters in 5th.
