The Truck Menards 250 race at Michigan Int’l Speedway started with and Tony Romack capturing the pole and Jeffery Merck Driver of the Notre Dame #6 setting the fastest lap of the race. Bobby McCormick gained 16 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Matthew Gibbs led the most laps with 55, going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 4 cautions with 8 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 10 disconnects in a 22 truck field. The race ended with Matthew Gibbs capturing his 1st win of the season with Bob Wells finishing 2nd, Mike Schrader nabbing 3rd and Joel Kilburn finishing 4th.
This week the Truck Series moves to a the NC Education Lottery 200 at Rockingham Speedway with the current points leader Steven Thomson Driver of the #67 Ride TV Racing Tundra looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
