Old Bastards ARCA Hisense 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway started with Marc Cohn capturing the pole and David Trainer recording the fastest lap of the race. Thomas Allmon gained 12 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Marc Cohn led the most laps with 43, with Ted Quincel going on take the win. This week the drivers displayed good race-craft, resulting in 5 cautions with 9 lead changes as there were no disqualifications with no disconnects in a 21 car field ending with Ted Quincel capturing his 1st win of the season with Marc Cohn finishing 2nd, Thomas Allmon 3rd and Paul House in 4th.
This week the ARCA Series moves to the Trinity RV Rentals 200 at Stafford Motor Speedway with the current points leader Marc Cohn looking for ways to maintain his lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:05 pm Eastern time. In the ARCA Series points championship Bruce Pearson in 2nd, Niels Clyde 3rd, Eddie Jones 4th and Mike Schrader in 5th.
The Stafford race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
