The Old Bastards Racing League 40 Week Monster Cup Series AAA 400 Drive For Autism at Dover Int’l Speedway started with Kenny Kulikowski capturing the pole and Mike Schrader recording the fastest lap of the race. Ken Huff gained 9 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Sam Maxwell led the most laps with 98, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 4 cautions with 5 lead changes and there were no disqualifications with 5 disconnects in a 18 car field ending with Sam Maxwell capturing his 5th win of the season with Kenny Kulikowski finishing 2nd, Mike Schrader 3rd, Patrick Milligan capturing 4th and Dwayne McArthur Driver of the #67 Ride TV Camry taking 5th.
This week the Monster Cup Series will be at the Go Bowling 400 for a night race at Kansas Speedway with the current points leader Sam Maxwell looking to find ways to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.
In the Cup Series point championship, Mike Schrader in 2nd, Kenny Kulikowski 3rd and Joel Kilburn 4th and Patrick Milligan 5th place.
The Kansas race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
