The Nascar Camping World Truck Drive 4 Clots 300 race at Auto Club Speedway started with Tim Matthews capturing the pole and Steven Thomson Driver of the #67 RideTV Racing Tundra setting the fastest lap of the race. David Desjardins gained 9 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Steven Thomson controlled the race by leading 51 laps battling Tim Matthews lap after lap, going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 2 cautions with 9 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 6 disconnect in a 20 truck field. The race ended with Steven Thomson capturing his 3rd win of the season with Tim Matthews finishing 2nd, Jeffery Merck nabbing 3rd and Tony Romack finishing 4th.
This week the Truck Series moves to the Milwaukee Mile 200 at The Milwaukee Mile with the current points leader Steven Thomson looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
