  • Patrick is married without children. He and his wife of over 20 years raise, train, and compete in dog sports with their Flat-Coated Retrievers and rescue Vizsla. He has worked in the construction industry most of his life performing jobs such as general laborer, block layer, building fences, and concrete finisher. After serving 4 years in the US Marines as a Combat Engineer he continued his profession as a concrete finisher and block layer until he changed his career to an office job working at a major concrete forming and engineering company. He started as a drafter and moved his way up to CAD Manager where he trains users, writes custom programs and plug-ins, works as IT and helpdesk technician, and administers web sites for this worldwide company. He teaches Computer Aided Drafting night classes at the local community college during the week and Basic Rider Course motorcycle classes on the weekends. He is an avid motorcyclist and is part of a veteran’s group that participates in a cross-country motorcycle ride each May covering over 7,000 miles or more each year. Patrick has always been interested in gaming, starting way back with his original Atari. Racing games were always his favorite genera and started with Activision’s Pole Position. He has dabbled with many different styles and somehow focused mostly on Formula 1 style games. After hearing about iRacing he researched it for a few years before taking the plunge around 2022. Participating in many official races online really hooked him into the iRacing scene. However, the frustrations of open official races forced him to start looking into some structured leagues that he could join. He ran across the OBRL’s information and checked out their site and applied for membership. After the first session he realized this was the place for him and has been here ever since. He is always trying to run as clean as possible and continually refining his race craft focusing mainly on consistency. So far, he only has 1 win and that was for an exhibition race. Obtaining only 1 top 10 to his OBRL career. Setting small goals such a finishing on lead lap, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes, and the all-important first win are on the horizon and will eventually come with many hours of practice and learning from the other OBRL drivers. Recently he joined the Top Flight Sim Racing Team where he has been able to gain a lot of experience and support, helping him to improve his overall race craft at a much fast rate than he thought possible.
