OBRL Penalties, Fines and Suspensions

This page lists the weekly penalties for each series. A race review committee reviews the video replay after each race.

They determine if any rule or safety violation is violated and recommends the appropriate penalty. All penalties will be severed at that series next race.

This is a lot more involved than the replay committee thought it would be. All Series have many problems on starts and restarts to go along with many on track issues. The replay committee is not trying to discourage members from racing due to penalties, but rules are in place for a reason. They are there to assure that all drivers try to race as clean as possible.

Even honest mistakes can be worthy of penalty from time to time and hopefully everyone will take this as a positive instead of a negative. Mistakes happen and the replay committee doesn’t want members to avoid racing because of mistakes, but they are trying to stay equal and fair to all who race. Unavoidable accidents are not mentioned. Avoidable accidents is what the replay committee is focused on. They review all incidents multiple times and always from different angles,

It is so damn hard to make judgment calls, but the replay committee is doing the best that they can. Please review all the posted penalties as constructive criticism. Use it to correct, improve your car control and awareness on track.

Reminder: All race replay review penalties can be appealed and re-reviewed by the replay committee. Please submit a replay lap of your incident along with your appeal.
