The OBRL Go Creative TV Truck Series Winn Dixie 300 race at Talladega SuperSpeedway started with Robert Thomas capturing the pole and Jason Swann setting the fastest lap of the race. Chris Monroe gained 27 spots to win the Hard Charger Award. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Patrick Skahill led 21 laps, with Chris Monroe going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 1 caution with 24 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 8 disconnects in a 40 truck field. The race ended with Chris Monroe capturing his 1st win of the season with John Held finishing 2nd, David Hunt nabbing 3rd and Josh Mayeu finishing 4th.
This week the OBRL Go Creative TV Truck Series is at the Toyota Care 250 night race at Richmond Raceway with the current points leader John Held looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:05 pm Eastern time.
In the OBRL Go Creative TV Truck Series points standings, Jim Westerfield 2nd, Patrick Skahill in 3rd, Brian Glass 4th and Ed Adams in 5th.
The Richmond night race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
