The Nascar Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 225 race at Chicagoland Speedway started with Chris Monroe capturing the pole and Joel Kilburn #40 Coors Light Dodge Ram setting the fastest lap of the race. Ken Huff gained 13 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Chris Monroe led the most laps with 31 and Brian Glass #87 Kodak Silverado went on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 3 caution with 13 lead changes and there was 1 disqualification and 6 disconnects in a 20 truck field. The race ended with Brian Glass capturing his 1st win of the season with Chris Monroe finishing 2nd, Joel Kilburn nabbing 3rd and Ken Huff finishing 4th.

This week the Truck Series moves to the Powershares 300 race at Daytona Int’l Speedway with the current points leader Brian Glass looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?

We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:05 pm Eastern time.

In the Truck Series points championship Dwayne McArthur #67 RideTV is 2nd, Raymond Casteel 3rd, Chris Monroe 4th and Bill Keener #00 UPS Toyota in 5th.

The Daytona race will be intense, and expect to see crashes and close battles all over the track.
