The Xfinity US Cellular 250 night race at Iowa Speedway started with Mike Schrader on the pole and Jeffrey Merck setting the fastest lap of the race. David Desjardins gained 14 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Steven Thomson #67 RideTV Racing led the most laps with 99, but in the end Bruce Pearson #3 Wheaties Sponsored Chevy went on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 2 cautions with 11 lead changes and there was no disqualifications and 4 disconnects in a 19 car field The race ended with Bruce Pearson capturing his 1st win of the series, Jack Ritchie taking 2nd, Jeffrey Merck in 3rd and Steven Thomson #67 RideTV Racing nabbing 4th.

This week the Xfinity Series moves to the Menard’s 250 race at Michigan Int’l Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
