The Fast Lane Racing League 40 Week Monster Cup Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 race at Texas Motor Speedway started with Dan DeNayer capturing the pole and Sam Maxwell recording the fastest lap of the race. Ken Huff gained 6 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Sam Maxwell dominated the race by leading 110 laps, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 1 caution with 9 lead changes and there was 1 disqualification with 2 disconnects in a 14 car field ending with Sam Maxwell capturing his 2nd win of the season with Mike Schrader finishing 2nd, Mike Franklin 3rd and Brian Glass capturing 4th.
This week the Fast Line Racing Monster Cup Series will be at the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking to find ways to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Fast Lane Racing League Old Bastards ?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.
In the Cup Series point championship, Kenney Kulikowski in 2nd, Sam Maxwell 3rd and Mike Franklin 4th and Brian Glass 5th place.
The Bristol race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
