The Xfinity 40 Week Series PowerShares QQQ 300 race at Daytona Int’l Speedway started with George Ballance Jr on the pole and Mike Schrader setting the fastest lap of the race. Steven Thomson racing the #67 Ride TV Racing Toyota Camry gained 23 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Jay Brown led the most laps with 55, with Joel Kilburn #61 Cummins Sponsored Camaro going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 3 cautions with 10 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 4 disconnect in a 36 car field The race ended with Joel Kilburn capturing his 1st win of the season, Jay Brown taking 2nd, Niels Clyde #44 in 3rd and Bruce Pearson nabbing 4th.

This week the Xfinity Series moves to the Rinnai 250 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway with the current points leader Joel Kilburn looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
