The Ol Bastard 40 Week Monster Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 night race at Richmond Raceway started with Sam Maxwell capturing the pole and Kenney Kulikowski recording the fastest lap of the race. Sean “Born a poor Black Child” Beyer gained 9 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Sam Maxwell led the most laps with 188, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 1 caution with 4 lead changes and there was 1 disqualification with 4 disconnects in a 17 car field ending with Sam Maxwell capturing his 3rd win of the season with Mike ” 2nd Place” Schrader finishing 2nd, Joel Kilburn 3rd and Kenney Kulikowski capturing 4th.
This week the Ol Bastards Monster Cup Series will be at the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking to find ways to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Ol Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.
In the Cup Series point championship, Sam Maxwell in 2nd, Kenny Kulikowski 3rd and Joel Kilburn 4th and Brian Glass 5th place.
The Talladega race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
