The Xfinity 40 Week Series VFW/Sports Clip Hero 200 race at Darlington Raceway started with Paul House on the pole and setting the fastest lap of the race. George Ballance Jr. gained 10 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Jay Brown led the most laps with 46, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 2 cautions with 9 lead changes and there were 2 disqualifications and 1 disconnect in a 20 car field The race ended with Jay Brown capturing his 1st win of the season, with Paul House taking 2nd, Quentin Watnick in 3rd and Bill Benedict nabbing 4th.

This week the Xfinity Series moves to the Lilly Diabetes 250 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?

We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.

In the Xfinity 40 Week Series points championship Kent “Big Time” Connolly in 2nd, Joel Kilburn 3rd Dwayne McArthur in 4th and Brian Glass in 5th.

The Indy race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
