The Truck Lucas Oil 300 at Lucas Oil Raceway race started with Steven Thomson racing the #67 Ride TV Toyota Tundra capturing the pole and setting the fastest lap of the race. David Desjardins gained 6 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Steven Thomson dominating the race by leading 111 laps, going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 1 caution with 6 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 1 disconnect in a 11 truck field.
There was a huge battle for 5th Place between David Desjardins, Bruce Pearson and John Hastings. The battle lasted lap after lap with David Desjardins crossing the finish line ahead of Bruce Pearson and John Hastings. The race ended with Steven Thomson capturing his 2nd win of the season with Bob Wells finishing 2nd, Dakota Pischke nabbing 3rd and Jon Waters finishing 4th.
This week the Truck Series moves to the Drive 4 Clots 300 at Auto Club Speedway with the current points leader Steven Thomson looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
