The Xfinity Menard’s 250 race at Michigan Int’l Speedway started with Joel Kilburn on the pole and Jeffrey Merck setting the fastest lap of the race. John Hastings gained 12 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Jeffrey Merck led the most laps with 43, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in no cautions with 8 lead changes and there was 1 disqualification and 1 disconnect in a 23 car field The race ended with Jeffrey Merck capturing his 1st win of the series, Mike Schrader taking 2nd, Dan DeNayer in 3rd and Matthew Gibbs nabbing 4th.
This week the Xfinity Series moves to the NC Education Lottery 200 race at Rockingham Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
