The OBRL 12 Week Seat Time Racing School Grand National Series Fred’s Pharmacy 250 race at Talladega SuperSpeedway started with Chris Pope on the pole and John Hastings setting the fastest lap of the race. Bill Benedict gained 27 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Chris Pope led the most laps with 28, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 2 cautions with 25 lead changes and there were 3 disqualifications and 2 disconnects in a 39 car field. The race ended with Chris Pope capturing his 1st win of the season, with Chris James taking 2nd, Matt Switzer 3rd and Ed Adams nabbing 4th.
This week the OBRL 12 Week Seat Time Racing School GN Series moves to the Alsco 300 night race at Kentucky Speedway with the current leader Ed Adams looking for ways to maintain his lead in the Series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.
