The Monster Cup Series Quicken Loans 400 race at Michigan Int’l Speedway started with Mike Schrader capturing the pole and Eddie Jones recording the fastest lap of the race. John Hastings gained 15 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Matthew Gibbs led the most laps with 56, with John Hastings going on to take the win. This week the drivers displayed good communication, which resulted in 1 caution with 7 lead changes and there were no disqualification with 1 disconnect in a 19 car field ending with John Hastings capturing his 1st win in the series with Aaron Corey finishing 2nd,  Kent “Big Time” Connolly Driving the #12  3rd and Eddie Jones capturing 4th.

This week the Cup Series moves to the Sylvania 300 race at Rockingham Speedway with the current points leader Mike Schrader Driver of the #4 Busch Beer Sponsored Ford Fusion  looking to find ways to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
