The Truck Powershares 300 night race at Daytona Int’l Speedway started with and Matthew Gibbs capturing the pole and Aaron Corey setting the fastest lap of the race. Chris Etchepare gained 23 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Matthew Gibbs led the most laps with 22 going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 2 cautions with 7 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 8 disconnects in a 25 truck field. The race ended with Matthew Gibbs capturing his 2nd win of the season with Chris Etchepare finishing 2nd, Mike Schrader nabbing 3rd and Bruce Pearson finishing 4th.

This week the Truck Series heads to the Great Clips 200 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where the remaining 6 divers will battle it out to be crowned the Truck Series Playoff Champion.

The Atlanta race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
