The Truck Boyd Gaming 300 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway started with Matthew Gibbs capturing the pole and Raymond Casteel setting the fastest lap of the race. Bobby McCormick gained 18 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Matthew Gibbs led the most laps with 73, with Cory Adkins going on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 5 cautions with 16 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 8 disconnects in a 27 truck field. The race ended with Cory Adkins capturing his 1st win of the season with Matthew Gibbs finishing 2nd, Marc Cohn nabbing 3rd and Steven Thomson finishing 4th.
