The Xfinity 40 Week Series Pocono Green 250 race at Pocono Raceway started with Steven Thomson Driver of the #67 Ride TV  Toyota Camry on the pole and Randy McCanney setting the fastest lap of the race. John Hastings gained 14 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Steven Thomson led the most laps with 55, going on to take the win. This week the drivers showed good race-craft, which resulted in 1 caution with 5 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 3 disconnects in a 21 car field The race ended with Steven Thomson capturing his 3rd win of the season, with Joel Kilburn taking 2nd, Randy McCanney in 3rd and Brian Glass nabbing 4th.

This week the Xfinity Series moves to the Menard’s 250 race at Michigan Int’l Speedway with the current points leader Kent “Big Time” Connolly looking to maintain the lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?

We shall see when the green flag drops at 11:40 am Eastern time.

In the Xfinity Series points championship Mike Schrader in 2nd, Brian Glass 3rd Joel Kilburn in 4th and Jimmy Todd in 5th.

The Michigan race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
