The Old Bastards ARCA Chevys Fresh Mex 200 for a road race at Sonoma Raceway started with Marc Cohn capturing the pole and recording the fastest lap of the race. Ken Huff and Bobby McCormick gained 8 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Marc Cohn Led the most laps with 34, going on take the win. This week the drivers displayed good communication, resulting in no cautions with 2 lead changes as there was no disqualifications with 5 disconnects in a 20 car field ending with Marc Cohn capturing his 2nd win of the season with Steven Thomson finishing 2nd, Niels Clyde 3rd and Dode Hoskins in 4th
This week the ARCA Series moves to the Menards 250 at Michigan Int’l Speedway with the current points leader Marc Cohn looking for ways to maintain his lead in the series. The question is … can he hold off the charging Old Bastards?
We shall see when the green flag drops at 9:05 pm Eastern time. In the ARCA Series points championship Niels Clyde in 2nd,Mike Schrader 3rd, Dode Hoskins 4th and Bobby McCormick in 5th.
The Michigan race will be intense, and expect to see close battles all over the track.
