The Truck NC Education Lottery 200 at Rockingham Speedway started with and Steven Thomson Driver of the #67 Ride TV Racing Tundra capturing the pole and Matthew Gibbs setting the fastest lap of the race. David Desjardins gained 12 spots for the most positions gained bonus. The race produced many close battles for position through the field with many position changes. Matthew Gibbs led the most laps with 41 and Dan DeNayer piloting the #30 Cessna Sponsored Chevy Silverado went on to capture the win. This week the drivers showed good communication, which resulted in 3 cautions with 8 lead changes and there were no disqualifications and 7 disconnects in a 24 truck field. The race ended with Dan DeNayer capturing his 1st win of the season with Steven Thomson finishing 2nd, Matthew Gibbs nabbing 3rd and Marc Cohn finishing 4th.

This week the Truck Series heads to the Powershares 300 night race at Daytona Int’l Speedway, where the top 8 divers will battle it out to be crowned the Truck Series Playoff Champion.
